Provolone - Sharp Imported from Italy
Imported Provolone from Italy. Extra sharp and perfectly aged.
Wonderful in antipasto, with any of our salamis or just on crackers. It originated in the southern region of Basilicata but is now produced all throughout the country. The curd is heated using hot water until it becomes stringy and then formed into its distinguishable shape. It is then dipped in brine, coated in wax, and hung to age. Then hung to age for year or longer
