Pecorino al Tartufo is an Italian, raw sheep's milk cheese encrusted with small specks of white and black truffles from the area between Volterra and San Miniato. It is aged for thirty days and pairs well with salami and a good red wine.

    We ordered this cheese along w. many other "goodies"--sausages, truffle/porcini pasta (MUST try), guanciale (SO hard to find), and several other items. ALL were delicious...but THIS cheese... Seriously, dare you to find a more delicious cheese locally--wherever you live.

    The cheese was delicious! I had this same type of cheese in a restaurant and I set out to find it. I found Fortuna’s and I’m so glad I did because it tastes just as good as it does in the restaurant
